In what may come out as another act of nepotism, Jhanvi Kapoor, daughter of Sridevi and Boney Kapoor, will be launched by Karan Johan in the movie Dhadak. This startling fact came to life when Karan Johar released three posters of the movie. Jhanvi Kapoor is apparently paired against Ishaan, younger brother of Shahid Kapoor.
No longer did the topic start, Twitter was abuzz with the topic of Nepotism once again with some calling the pairing quiet unattractive, others calling names to Karan Johar. Karan Johar has often been criticized for ignoring the struggling and new comers and only promoting star kids. This has led to quite discontent.Kangana Ranaut has often critized Karan Johar for his nepotism traits.

How it started?
When Kangana Ranaut and Saif Ali Khan appeared in the talk show ‘Koffee with Karan’, to promote their film Rangoon, Kangana blatantly answered Karan’s question and also made fun of him and criticized to point of no return. It instantly became the talk of the B-town and started hitting headlines. Hitting hard at Karan Johan, Kangana called him the ‘flag-bearer of nepotism in Bollywood‘.
The drama unfolded again at this year;s IIFA awards where Karan Johar started the debate along with Saif Ali Khan and they started making fun of Kangana. On Why Karan only prefers to launch star Kids, Karan has an interesting perspective:
While we’re on the subject, may I point out that while we can (and have) put the star on screen, we cannot make the audience arrive. So if it is a nepotistic world, we’re not the only ones guilty of it. Taken a look at any entertainment website recently? They’re full of star kids. It’s all about Sara (Ali Khan) and Jhanvi (Kapoor) and Aryan (Khan) and Aarav (Kumar). They step out and they’re photographed, they’re the ultimate clickbait,” he wrote
Twitter was abuzz with hashtags such as #NepotismKJO etc. Dhadak is reportedly a remake of Marathi blockbuster Sairat, which featured Rinku Gupta in lead role, for which she also won a National Award.
