“I am always very much fascinated with experiencing Mahi bhai bat on TV.. I enjoy it. The way he won matches was wonderful to see. It was great to see him back as captain and he won the IPL again,” Rahul told India Today in an exclusive chat. “That speaks highly about him as a person and a leader. Absolutely enjoyed watching him hit those sixes. He gives a lot of heart attacks to the opposition which is good to see.”

Dhoni this year undoubtedly cropped himself up as the top-scorers in IPL for Chennai Super Kings with 455 runs and also at the end he led the franchise to their third IPL title. Dhoni for the first got himself launched with a destructive tone against KXIP with his highest ever IPL score. He almost dragged that match to a winning conclusion for the Super Kings but his thrilling run-chase somehow got tackled by KXIP who prevailed in a tight finish in Mohali.

Rahul reminiscing all those memories expressed his alacrity for seeing Dhoni bat like this but also added it could be misery to digest as well as nerve-wracking if playing as the opposition against Dhoni.

Rahul also had a magnificent stint this year as he had superbly set the tone KXIP. After Royal Challengers Bangalore, he was bagged by KXIP for Rs 11 crore in the auction and he gifted himself with the fastest ever half-century in the IPL. Rahul has already shown us what he is capable of with his own form and term the stint as a great experience to be a part of a new franchise and play under the leadership of R Aswhin.

Rahul also called Ashwin as a balanced leader who prefers being well composed even after wins as well as defeats. The Bangalore stylist vehemently denied the long break after their first few matches hampered the side in any which way.
